After graduating with honors from Art Center College of
Design in Los Angeles, Barry Zauss worked as an
industrial designer, designing everything from Caterpillar
earthmovers to Danish silverware and the interior of the
Lockheed L-1011 airplane.
In 1974 Barry Zauss & Associates was established.
Since then, Barry has directed thousands of digital and
analog renderings for multi-million dollar projects in the
United States and abroad, including high-profile
developments such as The World Trade Center (New
York), Yangzhou Train Station (China), Capri and
Isfahan Development (Iran), The Museum of Tolerance
(Los Angeles), and Occidental Petroleum Headquarters
(Los Angeles).
In addition to on-going illustrations, Barry oversees all
aspects of research and development of digital
renderings and sketches using state-of-the-art software,
in combination with traditional analog illustration
techniques -- resulting in a new kind of digital illustration
with a hand-drawn look.
